Statistics showed there were 319 cases of domestic violence last year and 270 cases, including against men, until October this year.
Perak Women Development, Family, Welfare and National Integration committee chairman Datuk Rusnah Kassim said cases against men were often insignificant.

Snatch thefts have also increased, with 126 cases reported until October, while 144 cases were recorded last year.
Rape cases stood at 130 till October while 188 cases were reported in 2012.
Statistics also revealed 118 cases of outraging modesty this year against 130 last year.
The event, among others, was to create awareness in the community on domestic violence and the forms of abuse against women and men.
The state is drawing up plans to tackle the issue as well enhance the existing networks to reach out to help.
