FAMED Italian supercar makers Lamborghini recently unveiled its latest creation, the ultra limited Veneno Roadster. A follow-up to the Veneno released earlier this year, the roadster version retains much of the radical and extreme styling seen in the hard top, using the same extensive amount of carbon fiber in its body.
The chassis also uses a race-derived pushrod suspension system with horizontal spring and dampers as well. The only difference lies in the Roadster version’s open-top feature.
Also retained is the manic 6.5litre V12 engine tuned to generate 750hp, connected to the brand’s lightning-quick ISR transmission with five driving modes. Together with a permanent all-wheel-drive system, the Veneno Roadster will sprint from stand still to 100km/h in just 2.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 355km/h, as reported in The Sun Daily.
Lamborghini states that only nine examples of the Veneno Roadster would be built, each carrying a price tag of €3.3 million (RM14.35 million) – €600,000 (RM2.61 million) more expensive than its hard top sibling.
