Najib Chairs First UMNO Supreme Council Meeting After Party Election

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 21 (Bernama) -- The Prime Minister arrived at the Putra World Trade Centre here at 8.20pm Thursday night to chair the first meeting of the UMNO Supreme Council (MT) after the party's elections last month.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak was received by his deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, UMNO secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor and executive secretary Datuk Ab Rauf Yusoh and MT members at Menara Dato' Onn on arrival.

The meeting started at 9pm, among others, expected to discuss the appointment of new MT members.

It is also expected to discuss preparations for the UMNO General Assembly which will be held at the same venue from Dec 2-7.
